In Canada, Labour Day was declared a national holiday honoring all workers over 100 years ago. The city of Winnipeg celebrated the first official Labour Day in Canada in 1894 with a two-mile-long parade. Today, Labour Day is often celebrated as an end of summer holiday, one of the last opportunities to head to the cabin and spend time with family and friends before the kids go back to school and the colder weather moves in.
On Tuesday September 6th, the schools will be filled with students looking forward to their new school year and all of the Bulkley Valley Credit Union offices will be open to serve you.
