BVCU supports the RELAYS 4 LIFE!

The local Relay organizers are checking off their lists of tasks for the upcoming Relay for Life events. The Smithers Relay for Life event was last weekend and the Burns Lake’s Relay begins at 7:00 p.m. this Saturday night, June 6, 2009.
Funds raised through Relay For Life support the Canadian Cancer Society’s mission to eradicate cancer and enhance the quality of life of Canadians living with cancer. This is done by funding research projects and by providing information services and support programs in communities across the country.
Pictured here are Relay for Life representatives accepting the Gold Sponsorship cheque from staff member Karren Carver and branch manager, Greg Wacholtz. The Smithers event coordinator was also presented a $2,500 cheque from the Smithers branch.
