Pioneer Day in Historic Old Hazelton
August 14, 2010 - Fun starts at 10:00am
Saddle up and round up your posse! Come on down and join in the celebrations. Fun for the whole family! There are prizes for the best Pioneer Period Costume for man, women and child and for the best float or theme entry. The Parade is always a big hit for any age! During the day you will find the 5/10km Run/Walk, Bike Decorating, Arts and Crafts, Food Vendors, Just Us Band from Telkwa, Afternoon Matinee, Raffles, Watermelon Eating Contest, 3 on 3 Basketball, Kids Pioneer Games, Historic Photographs, Iron Chef Competition, Smokey the Bear, Jr. Fire Fighters Competition, Pony Rides, Horse Wagon Rides, Raffles and so much more. At 8:30 pm there will be the Candles by the River – Luminary for Cancer. Then to wind up an action packed day of fun, there is an adult dance starting at 10:00 pm.
