Art Education for Local Youth

The Smithers Gallery Association recently received a donation from the Smithers Community Support Committee to assist with the costs of operating the Summer Art Camp & Summer Programmes for 2007. The Summer Art Camp runs from July 23 to August 3 and provides excellent instruction from local artists for children and teens. (The 2006 Art Camp was very successful with approximately 48 children in attendance.) Bulkley Valley Credit Union is very happy to be the co-sponsor with the Art Gallery for 2007. Staff member, Kristal Grenkie is pictured here presenting the donation to the Smithers Art Gallery representative.Bulkley Valley Credit Union is committed to supporting our local communities. One way we do this is through our Community Support Fund. This fund is available in all of the areas we serve and focuses on Youth, Community and Education.
