May 14. 07
The bi-annual Burns Lake Trade Fair was a rousing success this past weekend at the Tom Forsyth Arena in Burns Lake for visitors, exhibitors and Youth Soccer alike.
More than 1,000 spectators came out to view over 50 displays of groups and businesses ranging from home improvement to vehicles, atvs & equipment to service clubs to home dcor to financial services.
While many exhibitors were local, many more traveled from as far afield as Prince Rupert and Prince George to display their wares.
Of course Bulkley Valley Credit Union was on hand as part of their commitment to local communities.
Their booth was a hit with young and old alike. On one hand, displaying a full range of banking services including financial planning by their subsidiary, Bulkley Valley Financial Services and local planner Chris Hyde.
On the other hand, for fun, Burns Lake Youth Soccer was the order of the day! BVCU had a soccer goal set up and trade show visitors took turns kicking soccer balls into the goal. Each goal helped BVCU donate either $2, $5 or $10 to Burns Lake Youth Soccer.
By the end of the trade show, BVCU donated a total of $2,000 to Soccer!!
Your Bulkley Valley Credit Union is proud to have returned over million dollars in the past year to its members and local communities!!
