BVCU welcomes Haywood Cup Participants

Feb 02. 07

Bulkley Valley Credit Union is a proud sponsor of “The Spirit of the Mountains” Haywood Canada Cup Western Canadian Championships.

From February 7 to 11, 2007 there will be 400 participants and supporters in Smithers for this major cross country ski event. Results from this event are part of the process to determine Canadian International Ski Federation Regional Cup champions. The top athletes competing in this local event can potentially become eligible to become members of the Canadian National Team. 2010 here we come! We want to congratulate the members of the Bulkley Valley Cross Country Ski Club for their hard work in hosting such an event!

BVCU’s Community Support Committees consist of board members, branch staff, and members of the communities. It is with great pleasure that the committee members review donation requests from local groups and organizations and award funds to assist these groups in their fundraising efforts for their special projects or events. The Committees work with a fund that is based on a fixed calculation of our income each year. Their mandate is to benefit the greatest number of people, while focusing on the areas of youth, community and education.

To make a request for funding, please click on the picture, as it is linked to our Community Donation Request form. Please complete the form and drop it off at the branch in your community.
