The Community Builder Campaign allows us to further our commitment to each of our communities. We will help you build your savings with a guaranteed bonus interest rate on a 1 Year Term Deposit for your investment
AND
based on total deposits made by the membership during the campaign, you help us build the size of the donation that will go to a local organization in you community.
This year, we are donating funds to the following four local community groups from the Hazeltons to the Lakes District based on the amount of funds deposited to Community Builder Special product at each branch.
The Hazeltons: The Kispiox Valley Community Centre
Smithers: The Bulkley Valley Local Low Cost Food Outlet
Houston & District: The Houston Aquatic Club
Lakes District: The Burns Lake Figure Skating Club
From 2002 to 2008, the donations totaled over $134,000 to the local community groups chosen to be the beneficiaries of the Community Builder Campaign. 2009 marks the eight year of offering this special for new RSP contributions, regular deposits, renewing deposit funds, and funds transferred in to the credit union as well. This year, we can offer the same special for a deposit to a new Tax Free Savings Account as well.
