Directors Election - Smithers

The Board of Directors performs a vital role in the credit union as it represents the interest of over 13,700 members.

Directors help set goals and policies and monitor Bulkley Valley Credit Union�s financial performance. All members are urged to participate in the vote.

Nominations for directors of Bulkley Valley Credit Union closed on February 13, 2007 and the Nominations Committee received one nomination from the Houston Representative Region. Mr. Arnold Amonson will be declared elected by acclamation at the Annual General Meeting on April 25, 2007.

Five nominations for the three open board positions representing the Smithers Region were received and as a result an election will take place in the Smithers Branch.

Only a member carrying on his or her principal financial dealings with the credit union at the branch situated in Smithers, BC will be eligible to cast a ballot. Balloting to fill three seats on the Bulkley Valley Credit Union�s Board of Directors will commence with in-branch voting starting Tuesday, April 10 and will continue until Saturday, April 14, 2007 in Smithers.
