Happy Canada Day

The Directors and Staff at Bulkley Valley Credit Union wish everyone a very Happy Canada Day.
In celebration of our Nation’s 141st Birthday, all branch offices will be closed on Tuesday July 1st. Regular business hours will resume on Wednesday, July 2.
The Canada Day holiday provides each and every one of us the opportunity to celebrate what we have in common and our achievements, remembering that these celebrations will be voiced in nearly all of the languages in the world. New Canadians are as proud of their citizenship as the Canadians whose ancestors celebrated Canada’s confederation.
In 1868, a proclamation signed by Governor General Lord Monck called upon all Her Majesty’s loving subjects throughout Canada to join in the celebration of the formation of the union of the British North America provinces in a federation under the name of Canada on July 1st. The July 1 holiday, Dominion Day, was established by statute in 1879.
