No More Counting Pennies for You!

Dec 14. 07

The latest and greatest piece of equipment was put to great use last week at the Smithers branch! Some of the Smithers Peewee AA Storm hockey team was in to test the Self-Serve Coin Deposit Centre. The team had collected over $1,200 in coins as a fundraiser to help the two families who were victims of fire in the Smithers area recently. The Self-Serve Coin Deposit Centre is new to the Smithers branch and has been the topic of conversation for many of the members who stop in the branch to take care of their banking needs. The Coin Deposit machine is as simple as 1-2-3 to use. Step 1 - Drop your coins in the deposit bin. Step 2 - Collect the detailed transaction slip from the machine. Step 3 - Take your transaction slip to a Member Service Representative to have your coins deposited to your account or you have the option of taking cash with you in a form that is far less heavy in your pocket. There is no charge to use the Coin Deposit Centre and we invite you to stop by with your pennybank anytime to try it out for yourself. No more counting and rolling pennies for you, just stop in and let our new machine do the work.
