Credit Union Day is PIE DAY!
Fresh homemade pie and coffee will be served at your local Bulkley Valley Credit Union branch by our board members, committee members and staff on Thursday, October 18 in celebration of Credit Union Day. Everyone is invited to stop by, relax and enjoy some friendly conversation over a piece of pie and a cup of coffee. Just another way we like to serve our members.
The history of the co-operative movement has shown that often, innovation and development emerge in times of adversity and change. Canadians have been credit union members for over 100 years. In the early 1900s, ordinary working people had little access to the commercially centered banks. Credit union were organized locally and provided needed savings and lending services rates at fair rates.
