Science Fair Time in the Valley!

The Smithers Community Support Committee was pleased to offer some assistance to the Bulkley Valley Science Fair Committee with their fundraising efforts to cover the travel costs to send local students to the Canada Wide Fair in Truro, Nova Scotia later this year.

Walnut Park Elementary School will host the Pacific Northwest Regional Science Fair from March 20 to 23, 2007 where the top six projects and students will be selected to
go to the Canada Wide Fair. We wish all participating students the best of luck and congratulate the Science Fair Committee on planning this important event in our area.

In 2006, Bulkley Valley Credit Union's four Committees donated over $52,000 in cash to community groups and events in our communities in total. We look forward to providing the same kind of support in 2007. If your group is fundraising, please stop by any one of our branch offices to pick-up a Community Support Donation Request Form or go to the community page of our website to download the form.

A reminder that Bulkley Valley Credit Union has a popcorn machine that is available to local groups to help support their fundraising efforts also. Contact your local branch for more details.
