Spring is a good time for an AGM

The 79th AGM of the British Columbia Cattlemen’s Association will be held in Smithers on May 24, 25
and 26, 2007.

The Smithers Community Support Committee was pleased to have BVCU sign on as a Silver Sponsor of
the event hosted by the Bulkley Valley Cattlemen’s Association.

The local group is looking forward to making this AGM a very successful meeting and the weekend an educational experience as well. The Trade Show begins at 5pm on Thursday and ends at 3pm on Saturday. There are a number of social events planned for the weekend that include a reception, a bar-b-que, a dinner and a dance. Organizations and businesses in BC with an interest in agriculture are invited to attend and this could result in as many as 400 visitors to the area.

In 2006, Bulkley Valley Credit Union's four Committees donated over $52,000 in cash to community groups and events in our communities in total. We look forward to providing the same kind of support in 2007.
