The bvcu heartthrobs ride on Wednesday in Smithers!

June is STROKE MONTH and is also BIG BIKE time in the Bulkley Valley. Teamwork, fitness and fundraising - that's what the Heart and Stroke Foundation's Big Bike is all about. The Smithers BVCU Heartthrobs will ride the bicycle built for a driver and 29 riders on Wednesday, June 6 at 5:45 p.m. We are proud to say that the bike is full and the riders have been fundraising with popcorn sales, a �jeans day� last Friday, and a garage sale on the weekend as well.
The BIG BIKE will be in Houston on Tuesday, June 5, Smithers on Wednesday, June 6 and in Burns Lake in Wednesday, June 13, 2007. Bulkley Valley Credit Union has been seen in previous years taking part in the ride, and this year will be no different.
The Heart and Stoke Foundation�s Big Bike travels across Canada from April to September. It will be in more than 200 communities across 9 provinces and the Foundation is expecting over 54,000 riders to share in the Big Bike experience.
