Proud to help bring Shane Koyczan to Smithers!
You might remember hearing Shane reciting the “Poem for Canada” at the 2010 Olympics Opening Ceremonies. Mr. Koyczan wrote “We Are More” and has performed it across the country, including in Vancouver for the world to hear in February of this year.
Bulkley Valley Credit Union, the Bulkley Valley Concert Association, and the Bulkley Valley Folk Music Society were the sponsors that made it possible for Koyczan to visit the Smithers Secondary and the Bulkley Valley Christian School and perform his school presentation about his childhood journey from victim to bully this week. There was also a public performance at the Della Herman Theatre on May 18.
Bulkley Valley Credit Union is proud to sponsor the Arts in our communities and we sincerely hope the students enjoyed the performance and Shane enjoyed his visit to the beautiful Bulkley Valley!

Coming soon to Smithers – The Grey! This major motion picture, starring Liam Neeson, was filmed on Hudson Bay Mountain last winter. Don’t miss the world premier at The Roi Theatre, sponsored majorly by the Bulkley Valley Credit Union.
