  • The Upper Skeena Recreation Centre Receives Major Government Support!

    The Upper Skeena Recreation Centre Receives Major Government Support!

    On October 26th, there was a major funding announcement by the Governments of Canada and British Columbia regarding the Upper Skeena Recreation Centre - which is also known as the Heart of the Hazeltons. The total funding commitment that was announced was nearly $12 Million, which is incredibly good news for this important project. The Centre will become the region's centre for activities, and will have an ice surface with seating for 500 spectators, a fitness room, a gym, a community rental space, and space for community programming. There was a large turnout for the announcement, which took place near the proposed building site.
