Pioneer Days are coming…

Pioneer Day is Hazelton's big annual event celebrating our community and historic past. It is held on the second Saturday of August and it is an all-day event with activities and entertainment for all ages to enjoy!

Events and activities that will be happening throughout the day are:

5/10km run/walk dedicated to Evie Maitland organized by Doug Donaldson MLA Stikine’s Office
Wagon Rides sponsored by the Bulkley Valley Credit Union
Live Music
Archery Tag
Junior Firefighter’s Competition
Iron Chef Competition organized by Storytellers’ Foundation
Bouncy Castle
Watermelon Eating Contest sponsored by the Gitaanmaax Market
Beach Volleyball and Basketball organized by Marcel Melanson and Colton Murrell
Candles by the River organized by Jude Hobenshield
Pioneer Day Dance by the Skeena Ice Arena Association
Strawberry Tea at the Anglican Church Hall
Hazelton District Public Library (Events TBA)
Arts and crafts vendors and food vendors
Parade begins at 12 noon

  • Important Notice-Credit Union Mastercard Program

    In January 1st, 2018 Bulkley Valley Credit Union will be introducing an exciting new family of personal and corporate credit cards. Our new card offering will provide excellent options to our members, with cards that specifically suit their individual credit card needs, both for personal use and for business. Please note that members may continue to use their existing Bulkley Valley Credit Union Mastercard card issued by CUETS Financial beyond January 1st, 2018. If you have any questions regarding your current Mastercard you should contact the number on the back of your credit card. We will keep you informed and provide greater detail on our new credit card program as we get closer to launch.

  • BVIS Accepting Donations

    Bulkley Valley Insurance Services will be accepting the follow items for the Broadway Shelter.. Adult size jackets, boots, socks, longjohns and mitts or gloves! They will be accepting donations from November 22 to December 14th. Anyone who donates an item is welcome to enter into a draw for a $200 Gift Card from Totem Audio!
