Winter is coming….Have you winterized your cabin or RV?

Here are a few helpful tips from our subsidiary Bulkley Valley Insurance to mitigate your exposure to loss this winter:

Cabins:                                   

  • Clean out your water lines to avoid freezing
  • Turn off the water and drain hot water heater or Water Tanks.
  • Make sure all your windows are closed to keep critters out.

RVs and Vehicles:     

  • Make sure you have antifreeze in Radiator
  • Empty water in recreational vehicles.
  • Make an appointment to put on Winter Tires.
  • Check your battery (as it can fail you that first very cold day)

Homes:           

  • Remove and drain exterior hoses
  • Have wood heat? Get your chimney cleaned!
  • Might be time for a furnace checkup?
  • Clean out your gutters
