Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) direct deposit enrolment online through BVCU

Bulkley Valley Credit Union Members can now manage their Canada Revenue Agency direct deposit information through MemberDirect® online banking!

This enrolment service gives you the ability to simply and securely transmit your direct deposit enrolment information to the CRA when you log onto Bulkley Valley Credit Union’s online banking. 

You will ensure the following CRA payments arrive sooner through direct deposit:

  • Income tax refund
  • Canada child benefit
  • Goods and services tax/harmonized sales tax (GST/HST) credit
  • Canada workers benefit
  • Related provincial and territorial payments
  • The new Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB)

 

To access the CRA Direct Deposit Form through MemberDirect®

 

  • Log in to online banking  (desktop only) 
  • In the left hand menu, select "Account Services"
  • In the submenu, select "Set Up CRA Direct Deposit"
  • Read the Payment Information and click "Next"
  • Select the account you would like the funds to be deposited into
  • If required, enter your Social Insurance Number
  • Check off your authorization to allow Bulkley Valley Credit Union share your banking information with the CRA for the purpose of establishing or changing direct deposit
  • Click "Next"
  • Review the information
  • Click "Submit"

 

 

For Joint Account Holders – If you have a joint account, both account holders will need to log in to MemberDirect® using their own online credentials in order to sign up for CRA direct deposit.  


If you do not know, your MemberDirect® log in credentials:


Otherwise, you can sign up for direct deposit through the Government of Canada’s website by logging in to your CRA account (https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/e-services/e-services-individuals/account-individuals.html).  Once logged in update your banking information by clicking on “Accounts and payments” and then clicking on “Arrange my direct deposit”.

  • Important Update

    The COVID-19 situation is evolving.  Today we were notified that one of our employees in the Smithers Branch has been confirmed with having the COVID-19 virus.  The employee last worked on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.

    At this time, the employee is resting at home in self-isolation and is doing well.
